A renowned Hong Kong fengshui master, who correctly predicted that Donald Trump would win the US presidential election, believes that he would enjoy good luck till September when his "nightmare" will begin.

Priscilla Lam told South China Morning Post that America's economy will be okay in the first half of the year, but in the second half, he will start getting nightmares.

The geomancer, who counts actor Jackie Chan among her former clients, foresees President Trump to face challenging times in September when protesters voice their grievances and the country becomes divided.

Trump has upset so many people, so when his luck runs out in the second half of the year, he will be beset with problems, said Lam when interviewed on her predictions for the Year of the Rooster, which began last Saturday with the first day of the Chinese New Year.

"In business, he's definitely a successful person, but in politics, it's another thing," Lam said. This is indeed so as protests have been held in the US and around the world over Trump's stance towards immigration and to the Muslim, Latin and Hispanic communities.

The fengshui master, who operates from Taoist Wong Tai Sin Temple in New Kowloon, also predicted that Trump would serve one term only. She does not think he would go for a second term as his luck would not be so good from 2021.

As for Trump's relationship with wife Melania, she has got this to say: "No time to talk about love. When the honeymoon time has passed, he faces a lot of things...Maybe there will be no time to go home."

Noting that the president was born in the Year of the Dog, and is an earth sign, she said he could change his mind quickly or rescind on his promises depending on the situation.

"He's says he's a protectionist...Maybe he will not keep his word," she surmised.

It means Trump could be less harsh on China in the second half of the year, but he would still be dead set on building the controversial border wall with Mexico, said Lam.

What about his health issues?

"Maybe just bone problems."

Other fengshui masters also predict trouble for Trump

Last week, another Hong Kong soothsayer, Thierry Chow, told AFP that Trump would face obstacles such as "a lot of strikes and even riots" as he "ruffle more feathers in his first year as president".

But he will be able to sail through the year as fengshui readings show there would be people and the environment helping him "personally as a president", she said.

Another fengshui master Alion Yeo said the US economy would benefit due to the rooster's signature element of metal, which also represents money and stocks.

"Trump's 'bazi' shows he will be prosperous, so the US stock market will perform well in 2017," Yeo told AFP.

But Trump's good luck will only be temporary. "He will have a good run in 2017, but this won't be the case for 2018 (the Year of the Dog)," said Yeo.
