The unusual turn of events didn't just happen to anyone, it happened to Hunter Biden, the younger son of former US vice-president Joe Biden.

The news broke on the New York Post's Page Six which reported earlier today (Mar 2) that Hunter Biden, 47 is indeed dating his late brother's widow Hallie Biden, 43.

Former Delaware attorney general Beau Biden died of brain cancer in 2015 at the age of 46, leaving behind his wife and their two children.

"Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that's been obvious to the people who love us most. We've been so lucky to have family and friends who have supported us every step of the way," Hunter Biden was quoted by the tabloid as saying.

His parents have given their blessing to the couple, saying they are "all lucky" that the two found each other as they were putting their lives back together.

"They have mine and Jill's full and complete support and we are happy for them," Joe Biden said in a statement to Page Six.

Hunter Biden, a lawyer, separated from his wife Kathleen Biden, with whom he has three children, five months after Beau Biden's death.
