Knife-wielding man wounds 5 people in Munich

BERLIN - A man injured several people with a knife in the German city of Munich on Saturday (Oct 21), police said on Twitter, adding that they were searching for the suspect whose motive remains unclear.

Police urged people in the city to remain at home and described the suspect as a man in his 40s who had fled the scene on a black bicycle.

"We are searching for the perpetrator of the attack with all available police", the local police said on their Twitter account.

According to the online edition of the daily Bild, none of the victims suffered life threatening injuries.
