Math teacher becomes internet-famous for playing ingenious pranks on his students

Teachers have the ability to make or break a class. For example, a brilliant teacher can make the most dry and boring subject somewhat interesting, while the most exciting topic could similarly be killed off by a teacher who can't get his teaching ability across.

As far as dry subjects go, one could say that math classes are right up there among the most boring. Yet, a particular math teacher has made himself internet-famous precisely because he managed to bring excitement and interest into his classes.

Matthew Weathers, the math teacher's latest viral video is of him pranking his class on April Fool's day where he pretends to have met with some difficulty in cleaning up an accidental marker stain on the projector screen.

The prank culminated into a full-fledged masterpiece of technological wizardry.

In the video, Mr Weathers attempts to clean up the stain, interacting perfectly with live action sequences that are pre-recorded and prepared before the performance.

If you really want to know what we're talking about, you'll have to watch the clip for yourself.

Honestly, he should have saved this trick for May the Fourth.Photo: YouTube Screenshot

What many may not be aware of, however, is that this particular prank is not the math teacher's first, nor will it likely be his last.

On his YouTube channel, one can see that Weather's has already organised a number of similar pranks for his class, each one equally as original and entertaining.

There is a clip of him attempting to fix an internet connection error:

And even imparting life lessons not related to math:

Good teachers are hard to come by. Resourceful and funny teachers are even harder to find, which makes it all the more important for us to respect and appreciate those who manage to inspire in the classroom.
