Model, 25, struts down Melbourne street naked; police investigating

A 25-year-old 'model' strutted down a busy street in Melbourne naked, eliciting gasps and stares from shellshocked bystanders.

American Gabi Grecko, who is engaged to 71-year-old businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, pulled off the stunt full monty, sporting just a green wig, veil and a pair of stiletto heels.

Her nude walk happened along an aptly named street in Melbourne's central business district - Exhibition Street, and her antics was recorded in collaboration with Australian magazine Sneaky Mag.

The video was posted on YouTube for awhile - not before it was flagged for violating YouTube's community standards.

Australian news website news.com.au said that Grecko was hankering for attention, directing the cameraman to film her in places with 'brighter' lighting.

At one point during her lewd walk, Grecko entered fast food chain Hungry Jack's to order a burger, but backtracked on her decision after declaring that it was "too unhealthy".

Australia's Nine News said that Victoria police are investigating her latest fiasco. The police added thatGrecko could face charges that carry a maximum term of two years in prison for offensive or wilful and obscene behaviour.

She later appeared on Nine News to explain her naked walk, claiming that she did not intend to "upset" the police.

"I don't want to upset the Australian law enforcement I really have respect for them," she explained.

"To me it's fashion, to me it's art - to other people I'm naked on the street. I'm not ashamed of my body, and I'm confident."

According to various media outlets, Grecko is no stranger to nudism. The exhibitionist had an Instagram account banned after posting risque selfies.

Kathy Deering, Grecko's mum, who was struggling to explain her daughter's engagement to the 71-year-old Australian fiancee, earlier told a media outlet that Grecko may have a father complex - or even a grandfather complex - after losing her biological father when she was a teenager.
