Paris summons Russia ambassador over 'false' aviation claim: Ministry

PARIS - France's foreign ministry summoned Russia's ambassador Tuesday after Moscow mistakenly accused a French military jet of flying "dangerously close" to a plane carrying Russian officials, a spokesman said.

The military plane was in fact Swiss. French foreign ministry secretary general Christian Masset met with diplomat Alexander Orlov and "condemned the fact that our ambassador to Moscow was summoned ... on the base of this false information," said spokesman Romain Nadal.
