BERLIN ― Samsung Electronics unveiled its latest Galaxy lineup at the "Samsung Unpacked 2013 Episode 2" event two days before the official start of 2013 IFA Berlin.
Introducing the Galaxy Note 3, smart watch Galaxy Gear, and new Galaxy Note 10.1, Shin Jong-kyun, president of the IT and mobile division at the Seoul-based electronics firm, said, "Samsung will keep trying to achieve innovation and provide new values for consumers with smart devices that make their lives easier and more enjoyable."
The Galaxy Note 3 is the third generation of the phablet that Samsung first released in 2011.
"Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a powerful, original approach that enables users to tell the stories of their lives through dynamic and seamless expressions of their passions across work, play and life experiences."
With a simple click of the S Pen button, users can unlock opportunities for self-expression, features that transform everyday activities into extraordinary events and access to new experiences delivered to them on the Note 3's larger screen, he added.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is 8.3 mm thin and weighs 168 g, comes with a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and 3,200 mAh battery. Also, equipped with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with smart stabilization and high CRI LED flash, the Note 3 enables users to crisply capture every visual story in their lives.
The Galaxy Gear, simultaneously announced with the latest Galaxy Note model, notifies users and gives them quick previews of incoming texts, emails and more coming from the phablet.
A function called Smart Relay enable users to read the full content on the screen of their Galaxy devices after being notified of the new messages or emails through the watch.
