The Internet has ridiculed United States press secretary Sean Spicer again for making yet another questionable remark, this time praising President Donald Trump's boorish comments about action star Arnold Schwarzenegger replacing him on the hit reality TV show The Apprentice.
Giving props to his boss during a White House press briefing, Spicer had termed Trump's comments as being "absolutely beautiful".
Trump had raised eyebrows at what was supposed to be a civil and sacred event - the National Prayer Breakfast - on Thursday morning (Feb 2) when he took a dig at the Hollywood action star and former California governor.
Trump disparaged Schwarzenegger for having poor ratings on the latest incarnation of the NBC reality TV show, now called "The New Celebrity Apprentice".
Trump said: "They hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to take my place. And we know how that turned out."
"It's been a total disaster. ... And I want to just pray for Arnold if we can. For those ratings. Okay?"
Schwarzenegger wasted little time to hit back in a Twitter video : "Why don't we switch jobs? You take over TV, because you're such an expert in ratings, and I take over your job. And then people can finally sleep comfortably again."
Responding to an article on the incident, one netizen 'Twelve' felt Spicer's remarks were absurd.
"LOL does this guy realise how absurd he sounds?" he asked.
Another netizen posted a comment directed at Spicer: "You are so out of your depth....Get out man."
