Ferrero Rocher, maple-flavoured lollipops and Pringles potato chips - these are not items for a picnic lunch but they are actually some of the ways smugglers use to sneak items past customs.

A post on entertainment site Asian Town showed how everyday food objects were used to hide drugs, animals and other illegal items.

Offenders have used ways such as stuffing drugs in the base of sneakers, emptying out confectionery and filling the wrappers with unidentified white products and even padding up their bodies with packages.

The custom officers must have kept up-to-date with the latest tactics as they have managed to uncover many disguises as shown on Asian Town.
