SINGAPORE - Visitors to the Istana will now be able to get a more in-depth understanding of the building and its grounds by downloading a new smartphone app.
Called the Istana Garden Walk, the app allows users to scan QR codes at areas of interest to find out more about their history.
There are 12 such locations, including the swan lake, centre gate, and main building. The app was created as a final-year-project by seven students from Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Information and IT, and launched at the Istana’s open house on yesterday morning.
