Venezuelan VP calls US sanctions an 'attack'

Caracas - Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami hit back Tuesday at the United States for labeling him a major drug trafficker and slapping sanctions on him, calling the accusations a "vile attack."

"I take this miserable and vile attack as recognition of my status as an anti-imperialist revolutionary," Socialist President Nicolas Maduro's heir apparent wrote on Twitter, after the US Treasury accused him and an ally, businessman Samark Jose Lopez Bello, of collaborating in mass shipments of narcotics to the United States.
