Photogenic bridges, set in the backdrop of history, nature and even the heartlands, take centre-stage in this episode of InstaScram.

InstaScram presenter Nessa Anwar rides in style on a Triumph Scrambler to far-flung corners of Singapore to hunt down beautiful bridges, like a fiery red bridge in the heart of the Japanese Garden, to the oldest suspension bridge in Singapore.

If you have a moment, take a trip down to Bukit Timah and explore the majestic black truss bridge of the Bukit Timah Railway Station, the star of many photoshoots and an icon of the now defunct Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) railway. You may still access it from a little slope beside Rail Mall. While you are there, enjoy a walk down the The Green Corridor as well, which maps out suggested walks along this old railway line. Bring your loved ones out for a stroll this Christmas holiday.

Fun Fact: The last train out of Singapore was driven by Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar of Johor himself, in June 2011. Find out more cool anecdotes about this accomplished ruler of Johor.

Then, walk through Sungei Api-Api in Pasir Ris to visit its magnificent pedestrian bridge. Experience the best of nature and all its sights, smells and sounds - set against the urban lines of HDB flats. The eagle-eyed will probably spot wildlife like unusual birds, otters and even monitor lizards like InstaScram did.

Sungei Api-Api leads right into Pasir Ris Park via a small underpass, and is lined with mangroves, which is an active push by NParks to re-introduce endangered species of plants back into the environment.  Find out how to go there. Pasir Ris Park is also a fun-filled place packed with activities for the family, friends and loved ones, like cycling, barbequing, water sports and even pony rides.
