ROME - Italian police released video footage on Saturday (July 29) of an investigation they conducted into reported thefts from passengers' lost luggage at Rome's Fiumicino Airport.

A police statement said that numerous thefts had been reported, mainly of tablets and smartphones.

After viewing closed-circuit television footage of workers in the lost luggage department of the airport the police identified two workers who were removing the often costly items.

The police raided the homes of the two unidentified airport workers and retrieved many stolen items and now a full investigation is underway to discover if other personnel were involved.
