WATCH: US company implants microchips into employees at 'chip party'

Wisconsin market company Three Square Market held what they dubbed a "chip party" for their employees in River Falls, on Tuesday, implanting microchip technology into their workers, making them the first US company to do so.

The technology was later demonstrated by the company's Vice President of International Development Tony Dannon, who used the opportunity to purchase a chocolate bar by scanning his hand at checkout.

Sam Bangston, a software engineer for the company, stated that the devices benefits were never having to carry a wallet again, providing an example of being pulled over by police and 'scanning' your hand.

The implementation of the microchip only takes two seconds, and is reportedly free of GPS tracking.
