If you're a couple that goes all out when celebrating Valentine's Day, the pressure sets in every year to make sure you choose the perfect location to dine. It doesn't always have to be a romantic dinner for two, but there are plenty of options if that's your preference.

From afternoon tea menus to champagne and oysters under the stars, the options out there are seemingly endless. Check out these 14 restaurants to help you decide on a Valentine's date that best suits you and your other. Just don't take too long, or they might end up fully booked!

The celebration of romance begins early on Sunday afternoon at The St. Regis with an extravagant brunch (from $148++ per person) at Brasserie Les Saveurs.

Wine and cheese lovers should head down to Catalunya Singapore for the all-Spanish cheese and wine pairing ($65++) from 8 to 14 February, featuring five Spanish cheeses from various regions in Spain and three wines. Each pairing set includes two sampling glasses of each wine, and is available over both lunch and dinner services.

The view of Marina Bay from the intimate bubble of Catalunya is stunning at night, and the area makes for a romantic post-dinner stroll by the river if you so wish.

There are plenty of ways to get caught up in the romance at The Ritz Carlton this year. Spend an afternoon at a Pink Afternoon Tea Buffet in the Chihuly Lounge with pastries, finger sandwiches and champagne ($68 per person) or an evening under the stars with oysters and champagne at Treetops ($48 per person). Available on Feb 13 and 14.

On Sunday afternoon, Colony is celebrating love with a vintage champagne brunch ($188 per person) featuring freshly shucked oysters, barbecued meats, an assortment of sweet treats and unlimited flutes of champagne.

Striving to impress your date? A formal dinner at Raffles Grill involves a six-course set dinner with a glass of champagne each ($598++ per couple). Indulge in premium Alaskan king crab rolled in crisp filo pastry, as well as an unusual course of pigeon served with a traditional peppery French Diable sauce.

Looking to set the mood with a fabulous view of Marina Bay? Me@OUE is serving a romantic dinner for two on Feb 13 and 14. There will be a four-course menu ($125++ per person) first seating on Saturday from 6 to 8pm, and a six-course menu ($245++ per person) seating from 8pm onwards as well as Sunday from 6pm. 8. The White Rabbit

Fancy a date in a beautifully restored chapel from the 1930s, set amidst the lush greenery of Dempsey Hill? The White Rabbit's Valentine's Day set dinner serves up classic European cuisine including seafood dishes like fresh Atlantic Halibut and Ocean Trout Tartare, the latter being a medley of prawns, octopus and pearl oysters. For those seeking a more hearty option, the menu includes a slow-cooked wagyu rump cap.

There are two seatings for the dinner, with the first seating ($108++ per person) from 6pm and the second seating ($128++ including a drink and Intermezzo course). Wine lovers can enjoy an additional wine pairing option ($68++ per person).

9. Oxwell & Co

Dine at this British-inspired gastropub this Valentine's and enjoy a decadent three-course dinner ($88++ per person including a glass of champagne) featuring indulgences like Jamon and Rhubarb and wagyu beef tartare to start, and mains such as sea bass with Venus clams and Welsh lamb shoulder. To end on a sweet note, choose between a Lemon Posset with homemade shortbread or an orange and ginger cake with dark chocolate ice cream.

If that doesn't quite seem like enough, there's always an optional addition of half a dozen Irish oysters ($30). And once you're done with the meal but not quite ready to call it a night, there's a rooftop garden where you can have drinks under the stars. How's that for romantic?

10. Lewin Terrace

If you and your date can't decide between French or Japanese cuisine, Lewin Terrace's menu might just be the perfect compromise. This February, Chef Keisuke Matsumoto will be feting the month of love by serving up Japanese seasonal flavours cooked with French techniques, with the appetisers and desserts served on luxurious Minoyaki sharing platters.

Highlights from the menu include seared Hokkaido scallop, pan-fried Amadai (Japanese tile fish), and grilled wagyu beef. Lewin Terrace is housed in a colonial heritage bungalow surrounded by the lush gardens of Fort Canning. The lunch menu (from $158 per couple) is a three-course affair, while the dinner menu ($348 per couple) has five courses.

11. Spathe Public House

We love that each creation on the Valentine's menu at Spathe has a cute inspiring story behind it. The menu, aptly titled "Love Stories", has courses like Love Conquers All (pressed foie gras terrine with duck heart satay), Opposites Attract (a main featuring tenderloin and lobster), and With Love, and Respect (New Zealand cod with creamed spinach). Indulge in the three-course set menu ($68++ per person), available at two seatings of 6pm and 8pm.

12. 1919 Waterboat House

Dine at the heritage building along the Singapore River, with a romantic five-course meal ($85++ per person) at 1919 Waterboat House. The menu, available on both Feb 13 and 14, serves up the restaurant's seafood specialties starting off with an amuse bouche of home-cured salmon and deconstructed guacamole and prosciutto with brie. This is followed up with a main course of either 300 day grain-fed prime ribeye or aburi maguro. There are two meal seatings, with the first at 6pm and the second at 8pm.

If you choose to pre-order a bottle of wine for the occasion, the restaurant will create a personalised label for your bottle, free of charge. There is also a proposal package for an incredibly special occasion, complete with photographer to capture the moment.

13. Osteria Mozza at Marina Bay Sands

If there's one cuisine that never fails to inspire a love for food (and romance in general), it's Italian. Seize the opportunity to treat your significant other to a four-course Italian tasting menu at Osteria Mozza, starting with Burrata caviar and gnocco fritto, followed by Scampi with artichoke or Onset Oysters. Indulge in handmade gorgonzola and beetroot ravioli, and choose between a wagyu beef bone marrow pie or lobster with baby artichokes for your main course.

14. Carousel at Royal Plaza on Scotts

If a set menu isn't your cup of tea and variety is what you're after, perhaps a buffet dinner is just the ticket. We love Carousel for its incredible buffet spreads that keep people coming back time and time again. This Valentine's, a dinner buffet ($98++ per person) is available from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
