Travel site TripAdvisor has announced its Travellers' Choice winners for fine dining restaurants around the world, and three of them are in Asia.
Tokyo's Narisawa, known for its modern French cooking inspired by nature and infused with Japanese flavours, is ranked No.8.
"We are very pleased that we have received this accolade by the global travel community which is due to our staff working very hard and earnestly every day. This award is a reward to them," owner and chef Yoshihiro Narisawa said.
His restaurant, opened in 2003, has been awarded two Michelin stars and has only 25 seats.
The other two restaurants in Asia in the top 20 list are Beijing's TRB (which stands for Temple Restaurant Beijing) and Bali's Restaurant Locavore, which took 12th and 17th spots respectively.
A total of 356 restaurants were honoured at this year's Travellers' Choice awards based on reviews from TripAdvisor users. They were rated according to an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of the reviews that were gathered over a year.
Topping the list is seven Michelin-starred Martin Berasategui in Lasarte, Spain, with French restaurant Europea in Montreal, Canada following behind.
