$5,500 for a dinosaur egg? Ridiculously expensive items sold online

Ever wondered what are some of the most ridiculously expensive items that can be found on sale online?

From houses to cars and vintage items, some of these listings might surprise you with the price that sellers are quoting buyers.

On online merchant site and mobile app Trezo, a pre-owned Porsche Cayman S 2014 was put up for sale at $312,000 two months ago.

If that doesn't sound absurd enough, another merchant has offered $4.4 million for a semi-detached house at Sunbird Road in the east.

Besides Trezo, other online merchants such as Shopee, Carousell and Airfrov also have quirky items on sale such as a 1971 Singapore bus directory, a Louis Vuitton red packet set and even a set of "golden" mobile phone numbers.

Prices for these items range from $15 for an Oreo bun to as high as $8,000 for a giant Gundam toy.

Other unusual items for sale include a dinosaur egg fossil and a Swarovski crystal toilet paper holder.

For buyers who are cautious about whether these items are fake or if illegal transactions are made, a representative from Trezo said that the team filters out products to ensure that there are proper listings.
