THE "spirit" of a nine-month pregnant woman, who was killed in a collision in Segamat, is asking her family to perform a ritual for her and her baby so that they would be free from suffering in the afterworld, China Press reported.

Her family members rushed to Ipoh on Wednesday after they were told by a temple committee member that she wanted to "meet" them.

Cheng Lee Sei communicated with her family members through a medium who would write everything she said on a tray of sand.

The "spirit" of Cheng was said to have gone into the body of the medium so that she could communicate with family members.

The medium kneeled in front of Cheng's family members asking for forgiveness on behalf of Cheng.

Last month, Cheng, who was the driver, and her two colleagues, were killed in a collision involving two cars in Segamat.
