POLICE busted an organised gambling den operating within a private condominium in Yishun on Saturday, nabbing 13 men and two women, aged between 21 and 27 years. Cash and other gaming paraphernalia were also seized during the raid.

Cops from Ang Mo Kio Police Division had conducted the raid following a tip-off. Among those arrested, two men were believed to be the operators of the illegal gambling den that was operating the game of 'Texas Poker' using English playing cards.

Under the Common Gaming House Act, anyone who games in a common gaming house can be fined up to $5,000 or jailed up to six months or to both.
