THE troubled marriage of Hong Kong celebrities George Lam and Sally Yeh is reported to be getting worse.

China Press reported that Yeh's car - which usually occupied one of the two parking lots at the couple's home - has not been seen in the past three to four months.

Lam, when cornered by reporters and asked when his wife was expected to come home, was not amused.

He answered angrily: "Should be soon! Why are you asking?" He then drove off.

Recently, the low-profile Lam appeared in public without Yeh to promote his concert.

Speculation about their marriage being on the rocks has been going on for years but they always quashed such rumours and would "put up a show" in public as a loving couple.

Lam divorced his first wife in 1994 and married Yeh two years later.
