THE TREASURE HUNTER (PG)
THIS Chinese so-called blockbuster easily wears the crown as the worst film of the year, with its cheap sets and amateurish action sequences and visual effects that rip off Western treasure-hunt flicks.
It doesn't help that the storyline is disjointed and hard to comprehend, with random characters and events popping up constantly.
Jay Chou and Lin Chi-ling show a great deficit in acting skills and chemistry as onscreen lovers, while Eric Tsang is just irritating in his side role.
