Nicholas Tse gives KL fans the slip

KUALA LUMPUR - Hong Kong heartthrob Nicholas Tse has arrived ahead of schedule to film the eagerly-awaited Against War movie.

The actor flew in from Hong Kong and landed at the KL International Airport at 5pm yesterday.

But many hearts were broken when he evaded fans who waited anxiously for his arrival.

Amid tight security, Tse was whisked away by airport security to a waiting vehicle on the tarmac.

The Shaolin star did not walk out of the VIP hall as expected.

Fellow cast member, Green Hornet star Jay Chou arrived last night.

Directed by award-winning Hong Kong director Dante Lam, Against War is the story of two investigators (played by Tse and Chou) who have been assigned to rescue a Chinese officer (played by mainland Chinese actress Bai Bing).

The highly-explosive film, jointly made with the Hollywood studio behind the Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker, will be shot in Kuala Lumpur, including Jalan Ampang, Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Raja Chulan and the KL railway station.

Its production budget is estimated at HK$200mil (S$31.5 million).
