Leehom stops traffic in KL

It's a manic Monday in Kenanga Wholesale City in Kuala Lumpur as Mandarin pop superstar Leehom made a whirlwind trip here to plug in his Music-Man II concert.

About 2000 Hom Maniacs (as Leehom fans are fondly known as), who bought the earlybird tickets were sandwiched inside the partially ready retail centre, just to catch a glimpse of their pin-up pop idol.

"It's good to be back (in KL)," a beaming Leehom greeted his screaming fans. "My Malaysian fans are warm and friendly."

The 34-year-old is seemingly unperturbed by the intensified romantic rumours on him and Shu Qi - a stark contrast to his agitated self when he was grilled about it by the press back home in Taipei, where The Daily Chilli last met him in November.

Maybe it's his Malaysian fans. To Leehom, you guys out there will always be the special ones because "My Malaysian fans always move me. They always affect my moods - for the better. It's totally the opposite with my fans elsewhere."

Tickets to his show, priced at RM 288 (S$118) and RM128 have all been snapped up! That's a record-breaking 50 per cent of the total ticket sales.

"I've prepared a surprise for my KL concert," Leehom promises to deliver a rocking good time. "I've designed my concert to be different in every city. And Malaysia is the fourth stop in this world tour."

Music-Man II will be held at the Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur on March 3. Tickets to the concert, priced at RM 498, RM388, RM298 (for numbered seats) and RM268 are still available.

Showtime begins at 8pm. For more info, log on to www.galaxy.com.my or call Galaxy Hotline on 03-2282 2020.
