Visiting i Light fest? Park at Marina Bay Link Mall

SINGAPORE - From today until April 1, the Marina Bay precinct will be awash in colour and light, thanks to more than 31 environmentally sustainable light art installations.

The event, called i Light Marina Bay, is organised by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and features works of regional and international artists set up within a 3.5km area around Marina Bay.

Look out for lit-up stick figures beneath the Singapore Flyer, and watch for the Merlion, which will be transformed by Ocubo, an art and multimedia group from Portugal.

The famous icon will be bathed in coloured lights, chosen by members of the public who can manipulate the colours from a touchscreen nearby.

On weekends, free guided tours led by student volunteers from Temasek Polytechnic will be available, for visitors to gain valuable insight into the creative process of the artists and their creations.

Each weekend, there will be a night carnival where visitors can enjoy free coffee from Nescafe, and buy environmentally sustainable items.

When visiting the i Light festival, think about stopping by Marina Bay Link Mall to grab a drink, dine, or shop. The mall offers free parking during the fest with a minimum spend of $30 - a great proposition, considering that parking in the area doesn't come cheap.

There are chances, too, to win gift vouchers from the mall, worth $50 each (with a minimum spend of $300).

Book concert tickets at the Sistic counter at the concierge stand at the mall, and redeem $10 food vouchers (minimum spend of $100 on tickets required).
