Final farewell for Tampines accident victims

"Nigel, you must help us look after Donovan. Wait for mummy to come. Donavan, you must listen to Nigel. Don't bully him. Wait in heaven for your father and me."

These were Mdm Suliani Ang's last words to her sons, Nigel and Donavan, before they were cremated on Thursday.

13-year-old Nigel and his brother Donavan, who would have turned eight in February, died on Monday after they were hit by a cement truck at the junction of Tampines St 45 and Tampines Ave 9 while on a bicycle.

A funeral service was held at Mandai Crematorium for the brothers.

Close to 400 army officers joined the Yap family and their church community for the hour-long service.
