If you find it hard to open a durian, this DIY opener would definitely come in handy.
In a video uploaded onto Facebook, a man can be seen loading the spiky fruit onto the holder of the contraption, positioning it stem-side down.
He lowers a kind of blade onto the top of the durian, then spreads the bamboo handles open, splitting the husk right down the middle.
The process takes less than 10 seconds, and removes the need to hack and pry the thorny husk with your hands.
