Artist transforms herself into comic superheroes with just body paint

Just when we thought cosplay could not get anymore fascinating, a Canadian artist has taken the hobby to the next level - by using only body paint and nothing else.

Kay Pike, 28, from Calgary, Canada, has made a name for herself in the world of cosplay with her talent for 'cospaint', which she uses to transform herself into the world's most famous comic book characters.

Pike transforms herself into life-size comic book superheroes with skillful and detailed painting that mimics the style used in DC and Marvel comic books.

Some of her most popular transformations like Spiderman, Iron man and Thanos take up to 15 hours to complete.

Although she appears naked in the photos, Pike revealed that she uses a layer of latex to achieve the smooth painting effect, and to make clothing lines invisible.

Her transformations are so popular that she has also started live streaming the process for fans to watch online.

At last count, Pike's Instagram page had already garnered over 154,000 followers.
