‘Sgt. Frog’ exhibition in Yokohama

YOKOHAMA-An exhibition featuring "Keroro Gunso" (Sgt. Frog), a popular anime series broadcast on the TV Tokyo network, is under way at the Broadcast Library in Yokohama.

The anime is an adaptation of a popular manga series created by Mine Yoshizaki.

The comedic series depicts a platoon of froglike aliens attempting to conquer Earth, but failing each time.

There have been multiple "Sgt. Frog" movies as well.

The exhibition displays a three-dimensional reproduction of the room of the titular character and panels introducing him and his company from Planet Keron as well as copies of original drawings and sketches by the manga artist.

A photo session with the character is also scheduled for July 26, with visitors required to bring their own cameras.

The exhibition as a whole will last until Aug. 3. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Closed Mondays (except July 21) and July 22. Admission is free.
