2-year-old boy falls from escalator in Guangdong

A two-year-old boy fell from the top of an escalator to the floor below at a shopping mall in Dongguan, Guangdong Province last Tuesday (May 19).
A video posted by CCTVNews shows him climbing onto the escalator's handrail and getting dragged along.
The boy then loses his grip and plunges straight to the ground, startling nearby shoppers.
Fortunately, the toddler survived the ordeal, after "several days of life-saving efforts".
