AirAsia now flies direct from Singapore to Lombok and Solo

Those travelling to Lombok and Solo, both in Indonesia, can now fly directly to these destinations with AirAsia's two new additional routes.

Lombok, located next to popular tourist destination Bali, is an Indonesia island known for its scenic spots, untouched by commercialisation. The new route from Singapore to Lombok will also give travellers access to the island's surf beaches, Gili Islands and Pink Beach. Those looking for a land trip can check out Indonesia's second largest volcano, Mount Rijani.

Solo, also known as Sukarata, is a vibrant city in central Java and birthplace of current Indonesian President Joko Widodo. It is also known for its traditional Batik cloths. One may find them at Pasar Klewer, Indonesia's biggest textile market. Travellers can also experience local cuisine at Pasar Legi and Pasar Kembang.

It is hoped that the new AirAsia routes will strengthen relations between Indonesians and Singaporeans.

Sunu Widyatoko, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AirAsia Indonesia, is thrilled at the launch of the new routes, as they will further contribute to the development of tourism and business activities between Singapore, Lombok, and Indonesia.

On the Singapore side, AirAsia Singapore's CEO Logan Velaitham, hopes that the new launch will further open up more unique destinations for Singaporeans, as well as driving more traffic to Changi Airport.

In conjunction with the new launch, AirAsia is offering travellers an introductory fare of S$79 (all-in), one way, on flights to Lombok, and a fare of S$69 on flights into Solo.

Promotional seats are limited and may not be available on all flights, public holidays, school breaks and weekends.

The promotion is available for booking from Dec 1-7, valid for travel from Jan 28 2015 to Jan 17 2016.

The Singapore-Lombok route will commence Jan 28, 2015, while Singapore-Solo route will commence Jan 29, 2015.
