Ex-governor of Thailand bank asks Yingluck to resign

Former Bank of Thailand governor Pridiyathorn Devakula on Thursday called for caretaker premier and the government to resign, saying they are a failed government.

Major projects including the rice-pledging scheme and solar cell energy have failed and no one trusts them anymore.

Pridiyathorn, also an exfinance minister, issued an open letter to Yingluck Shinawatra and her caretaker government in which he said that economic transactions have dropped dramatically. He said Yingluck should allow the setting up of central government that is acceptable to every party.
