JAKARTA - Security officers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport found a girl, 11, who they believed was hypnotised.

Edi Mukri, Terminal 2's senior manager, said on Wednesday that security officers initially approached the girl because she looked confused.

"When she was found, she was alone at the terminal and looked confused. Our officers then brought her to the information centre," said Edi, adding that the girl was found on Saturday.

The girl told the officers that she was looking for her parents who had gone to Australia with an Instagram celebrity, Edi explained. However, she did not know the flight details.

Nahim Bin Entong, the taxi driver who had taken the girl to the airport, said she looked confused when she got into the taxi. Nahim kept her mobile phone after she could not pay the fare.

The girl's father said she was phoned by an unknown man claiming to be an Instagram celebrity.
