CCTV footage from a shop in Huainan, China shows a man picking up and flinging a 1-year-old toddler into the air.
The incident is said to have occurred after what appears to have been a fight with a shopkeeper.
According to the user who posted the video on Chinese video sharing site 56.com, the culprit is still at large.
The user, who claimed to be the baby's cousin, said the baby survived the incident.
But online reports stated that the toddler sustained serious injuries and is now under observation at a hospital.
