Missing MH370: Family of missing passenger still calling his mobile phones

BEIJING - The family members of a passenger of Uighur descent said he was in Malaysia for an art exhibition.

One of them, who spoke to the press on Wednesday afternoon, said the family has also been trying to call his mobile phones, but to no avail.

"We have been dialling both his numbers since March 8," he said.

Among his family members who have rushed to Lido Hotel in Beijing included his elder brother and wife.

As of Wednesday afternoon, they have not decided if they wanted to fly to KL to be closer to the command centre.

According to the Chinese media reports, the 35-year-old man originates from Qeshqer, Xinjiang.

He is a member of the Xinjiang Artists Association.
