Rat's nest found under business class seat on plane from HK

CHINA - A routine inspection on board an airplane at a Xiamen airport brought about a shocking find - a rat's nest that was home to a mother rat and its 10 offspring.

According to a Shanghai Daily report, the 10 baby rats were found under a seat in the business class section of the aircraft, which flew in from Hong Kong for repairs.

The find led the Xiamen inspection authorities to place the aircraft cabin on lockdown and initiate an airport public health emergency plan.

A day after the lockdown, they found the mother rat in the cabin.

After tests done on the rodents revealed no health risks, the quarantine measures were subsequently lifted, reported CCTV.
