Scoot, Tigerair to jointly operate Singapore-Guangzhou services

Scoot and Tigerair have announced that they are expanding their co-operation when Scoot launches its daily services to Guangzhou, China on Jan 16 next year.

In a statement released today, Oct 19, the two airlines said they will operate together on twice daily services and also manage the route jointly.

Scoot's Boeing 787 Dreamliner service will replace one daily flight currently operated by Tigerair with a smaller Airbus A320 aircraft.

Tigerair will also operate additional services on certain dates during the Chinese New Year 2016 period.

Guangzhou will be Scoot's sixth destination in China and its second in the Pearl River Delta area after Hong Kong, said Scoot CEO Mr Campbell Wilson.

CEO of Tigerair Mr Lee Lik Hsin also said the two airlines are finalising a similar arrangement for a different route.
