Thai farmers protest at Commerce Ministry

Farmers from Ratchaburi and seven western provinces rally outside the Commerce Ministry Thursday.

They arrived on farm trucks and buses to demand the government to speed up paying them for their rice which they have sold to the government under the rice-pledging scheme.

These farmers represented their peers to submit the demand to the government while many farmers were continuing their Rama II Road blockade at the Wang Manao intersection in Ratchaburi's Pak Tho district, which began on February 1.
