Thai woman finds herself surrounded by cockroaches while having lunch

Most of us would cringe at the idea of even finding ourselves at close quarters with cockroaches.

However, according to online news site Coconuts, a Thai lady had to contend with a much more horrifying fate.

Facebook user Kampong Pang documented her experience last Sunday where a horde of cockroaches interrupted her meal at Chonburi's Phanat Nikhom Market.

According to her post, she was having noodles from a street stall for lunch when cockroaches, rats and centipedes escaped from the flooding drain nearby.

Interestingly enough, the Facebook user was not overtly daunted by the critters' appearance and continued with her noodles.

"While I was eating my delicious noodles an army of cockroaches, rats, and centipedes crawled out of the drain. I was disgusted, but I was hungry," according to her.

"I kept on eating! Who cares! I ate while watching cockroaches on the wall."

Kampong Pang's Facebook account has been made private ever since her post has garnered all the attention.

While horrifying in itself, it should also be noted that this incident was a once off experience, with Kampong Pang noting that the cockroaches only left the drain due to its flooding from the heavy rain that day.

Nevertheless, such an experience would likely leave a mental scar on most of us. Hopefully, none of us will ever have to suffer the same fate as this unfortunate Thai lady.
