Thailand's independent bodies to announce roadmap for ending conflicts

Seven independent organisations established under the charter's provisions will Monday announce a roadmap for ending the political conflicts, Election Commissioner Somchai Srisuthiyarkorn said Friday.

Somchai said the the seven organisations held a meeting Friday and reached a decision on the roadmap and framework for holding negotiations between conflicting parties to try to end the long-drawn conflicts.

The seven independent organisations are the Election Commission, the Ombudsmen, the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the National Auditing Commission, the Office of the Attorney General, the National Human Rights Commission and the National Economic and Social Advisory Council.
