SHANGHAI - According to reports in Chinese media, two Shanghai firemen died on May 1 after falling from the 13th storey of an apartment building.
Witnesses said that the two firemen were holding hands when they fell out a window. There are speculations that one of them may have lost his balance, and the other was trying to help his colleague when he too was pulled over.
The fire occurred at about 2pm local time, according to a report on cntv.cn.
A witness said that he saw four or five firemen rushing into the building.
The two who died were apparently in their early 20s. One other fireman was injured and has been sent to hospital.
