AVA issues recall for Mars Chocolate products made in Netherlands

SINGAPORE - The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) has issued a recall for all Snickers, Mars, Milky Way and Celebrations candy manufactured by Mars Chocolate in the Netherlands.
This comes after news that Mars Chocolate voluntarily recalled candy manufactured in the Netherlands in 55 countries after a piece of plastic was found in a Snickers bar in Germany.
The affected products were manufactured between Dec 5, 2015 and Jan 18, 2016. Only products with the label "Mars Netherlands" are affected by this recall.
AVA confirmed on Feb 24 that there are imports of Mars Chocolate products from the Netherlands in Singapore. As a precautionary measure, AVA has instructed importers to remove Snickers, Mars, Milky Way and Celebrations candy manufactured in the Netherlands from the market immediately.
Consumers who have purchased the same candy with the label "Mars Netherlands" are advised not to consume them.
