Best places for pizza & pasta in Singapore

Pizza and pasta. What's there not to love about the two famous Italian culinary exports?

Food app Burpple has tapped on its user reviews to round up 15 of the best eateries to go to for these universal favourites in Singapore.

A couple of the picks offer a do-it-yourself (DIY) option for those who want to create their dream pizza or who find pleasure in constructing their food from scratch.

For $12, you choose from an unlimited number of toppings from over 25 ingredients and five sauces at The Pizza Collective, the brainchild of Peperoni Pizzeria of Les Amis Group.

At Alt. Pizza, which has outlets in Suntec City and Katong, toppings are charged individually, but with choices such as wagyu short rib meatballs and white truffle oil, you might just get carried away with your selections.

Not into DIY? Indulge in the must-tries at Pizzeria Mozza: Burpple user Muriel A recommends the egg, bacon, the fennel sausage, and the funghi misti pizzas at celebrity chef Mario Batali's Singapore outpost at Marina Bay Sands.

Pastas can be found next door at his semi-casual restaurant, Osteria Mozza. They are priced more than $20; but if you're looking for more affordable Italian noodles that also taste great, head to The Wicked Garlic at International Plaza. Its $12.70 aglio olio is "extremely flavourful, with huge, fresh, slightly charred prawns adorning the dish", writes Burpple user Jocelyn Wong.
