Singapore added another medal at the 18th Asian Youth Tenpin Bowling Championships in Macau yesterday, after 19-year-old Joy Yap finished second in the girls' singles event.

Javier Tan had won the boys' singles bronze on Tuesday.

Joy, who had bagged the singles and doubles golds at last year's Asian Schools Championships in Indonesia, clinched the silver medal with 1,344 pinfalls.

Teammates Kristin Quah and Iliya Syamim were seventh and eighth respectively.

Malaysia's Nora Lyana Natasia (1,359) won the gold, while Indonesia's Alisha Nabila (1,308) was third.

The boys' doubles event will take place today, while the girls' doubles will be held tomorrow.
