Building Surveyor Awards 2019 - Call for Entries, Business News

HONG KONG, Dec. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Further to the remarkable success of the Building Surveyor Awards held in 2015 and 2017, Building Surveying Division of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS - BSD) invites all building surveyors and industry practitioners to submit entries for the third Building Surveyor Awards 2019 (BSA 2019).

The Building Surveyor Awards are one of the most prestigious honors in the building surveying profession. They are to give public recognition to preeminent projects in terms of design, innovation, management, sustainability and achievement with substantial contribution by Building Surveyors. The theme for BSA 2019 is "Go Beyond With Care", with emphasis on concerns in buildability, maintainability and safety in building projects.

In the coming BSA 2019, participants from 2 groups, namely Client / Client's representatives and Consultants, may nominate their projects under 3 categories: New Development, A&A and Conversion, and Maintenance and Rehabilitation. A winner from each group of each category will be selected by the respective Jury Panel. A Grand Award may be granted to one of the winning projects.

Other than Sustainability Award and Value Enhancement Award which commend building surveyors' contributions to projects with achievements in enhancing sustainability, economic and social values, Caring Practice Award is newly introduced for BSA 2019 to commend their contributions to projects in terms of caring for buildability and/or maintainability, health and safety concerns, constructional and/or operational friendliness.

All required nomination forms and documents must be submitted no later than 5pm on 28 February, 2019 (Thursday). To enjoy a 20% early-bird discount on the nomination fee, nomination forms must be submitted on or before 5pm, 21 December 2018 (Friday).
