In his opening speech, Mr. Tony Leung, Chief Executive Officer of CITIC Securities Brokerage HK, said he regarded the opening of CITICS Plus Center as another milestone in the company's business development. "In the past six months, CITIC Securities Brokerage HK has shifted its focus towards wealth management services." he said. "More than 100 HNWIs have chosen our one-stop wealth management solutions with total investment exceeding HK$1.2 billion since the launch of CITICS Plus." He added: "CITIC Securities Brokerage HK will continue to leverage our global vision and the deep understanding of clients from Mainland China and Hong Kong to offer flexible and goal-oriented investment services. Our goal is to help our clients realise asset preservation and capital appreciation."
Mr. Leo Li, Head of Wealth Management & Equity Sales said: "To accommodate the growing demand for wealth management services of our sophisticated clients, we will increase the number of CITICS PLUS relationship managers to ensure we can provide the highest quality, tailor-made products and diversified investment solutions." He said he was optimistic with regards to Hong Kong's wealth management market and its future development in particular, business development in the Greater China Region. "With good execution of our expansion plans, we are confident that business volume, number of clients and our assets under management will achieve significant growth," Li said.
Mr. Matthew Chan, Head of Product Management of CITIC Securities Brokerage HK, elaborated on how CITICS Plus clients benefit from the diversification of multi-asset investment opportunities. "In the 4th quarter of last year, in response to the market volatility, we launched '90% Equity-linked Capital Protection Certificate with Leveraged Upside' and '100% Fund-linked Capital Protection Certificate with Leveraged Upside', aiming at helping customers grasp low-entry opportunities. Now, with US equities repeatedly hitting historical highs, we have introduced 'Special Margin Interest Rate Programme' for a list of investment grade rated bonds, which we believe will allow investors to lock in profits while enjoying the potential rate spread."
Mr. Chan added that in order to meet short-term liquidity demands, CITICS Plus also offers certificates of deposit and short-term liquidity funds without penalty terms, such as time deposits, bringing greater capital flexibility to investors. "Looking ahead, we will introduce more timely products and services to meet the diverse wealth management needs of our clients."
CITIC Securities Brokerage HK has placed a large outdoor billboard on Admiralty Centre Tower 1 and a light box advertisement inside the Admiralty MTR station. We believe that it will swiftly spread the news of the opening of CITICS Plus Center, strengthen the brand image of CITIC Securities Brokerage HK and enhance its impact in the market.
