World, I

China's One Belt, One Road initiative calls for the revival of the ancient Silk Road and the initiative is attracting the world's attention. China is now the home of innovation and progress, bringing about a significant change in its relationship with the world.

During this period, hundreds of millions of people are committing themselves to China's economic transformation and rise. It is the proposition of our times and wholly represents Mr. Wei's and JC Group's mission.

"A person with sight can see far into the distance, however, it takes a wise man to avoid the risks that are not readily seen."

Mr. Wei added, as China improves the living standards of its people and takes steps to address their expectations in terms of entertainment, goals that are embedded in the country's new urbanization plans 1.0 and 2.0, the plan now moves to the next level, the 3.0 stage, with a focus on "Going Global", which is in line with the One Belt, One Road initiative.

He said, with the support of the government when it comes to upgrading the infrastructure and enhancing the merging of cultural, trade and financial exchanges by leveraging digital technologies, China will certainly become a major driver behind global economic growth. He looks forward to the support and engagement of an increasing number of participants.

One World, One China Dream

As the country is now at the moment in history where the opportunity is greatest, what China most needs is talent, that is, individuals who can play a greater and leading role in the area of innovation in technology.

As China moved from the 1960s to the 1970s and, especially after China's reform and opening up was initiated in the 1970s, many of the country's most promising and talented individuals chose to study abroad. Jay Wei said that it's time for them to come home.

Jay Wei said during his speech that he looks forward to building a bridge that allows more people to understand that China has now grown up, and that bridge is also the path that can be chosen by those promising and talented individuals who share the same vision and would like to join the country in its revival.

He expressed what he saw as the ultimate goal when he said, "We are hoping to create a better future; now we see the direction, but most importantly, we must do the leading. Going forward, all our work, our actions and our thinking should be directed towards the goal of bringing about China's full revival, a goal that has become the mission of our current generation of young people."

A dialogue with the world

"It is better to stand up and take action than just to sit and talk."

Jay Wei will give this speech that he has named World, I for the first time at the University of Hong Kong on September 26, and then will continue on with speech dates at the National University of Singapore, Seoul National University, the University of Tokyo, Stanford University, Harvard University, the University of Oxford, "National" Taiwan University and Peking University.

This is a path that no one has chosen before and is also a dialogue between Jay Wei and the world. He will be delivering the speech at nine of the world's leading universities in nine cities across eight countries and regions. This will be a meaningful tour, not only for Chinese students studying abroad and other members of the Chinese diaspora, but also an important journey in expanding China's stature around the globe.

Jay Wei said, "The power of individuals is tiny and fragile, but through efforts by myself, JC Group and all who hear and are transformed by our message, we can shift the balance away from the current altogether one-sided position. Then, I will be able to consider my actions like a stone that has been thrown into the river of history. Nothing may result from the first few ripples, yet, at the same time, it may create great waves that can change the world."

What's the relationship between the world and I? You may find the answer revealed in the speech.
