GU'AN, China, May 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jiashan New Industry City Public-Private Partnership (PPP) 2018 project, a joint venture by the government of Jiashan county, East China's Zhejiang province and China Fortune Land Development Co Ltd (CFLD), the country's industrial zone developer and operator, came into operation on Sunday.
The project consists of 35 programs, covering urban infrastructure, public construction, industry development and people's livelihood. Nine experts involved in Zhejiang's Recruitment Program of Global Experts and six institutions formally signed contracts with the new industry city project.
Zhao Hongjing, co-president of CFLD, said the developed transportation system helped Jiashan integrate into Yangtze River Delta city clusters and to get involved in the global industrial division.
Jiashan New Industry City is adjacent to Jiashan High-speed Railway South Station, a 23-minute train ride to Shanghai Hongqiao Station.
The project was launched in 2013 and nearly 200 enterprises have settled in Jiashan New Industry City so far.
Zhao said the CFLD is committed to building the new industrial city with a beautiful ecological environment, rich cultural atmosphere, developed supporting facilities and a highly-concentrated innovative industrial system.
Technical research and development, software information, movie and TV media, and business service are four fields that the Jiashan New Industry City plans to incubate. More and more talents, scientific achievers and industrial programs will be attracted to settle.
CFLD's New Industry City PPP model is derived from one in Gu'an county in 2002. When Gu'an New Industry City program started, Gu'an city was one of the poorest cities in North China's Hebei province, the revenue of the city increased from 110 million yuan in 2002 to 9.85 billion yuan in 2017.
In early May, Gu'an New Industry City PPP project was selected as one of 60 UN sustainable development PPP cases by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
Compared with Gu'an, Jiashan has a better economic foundation. Zhao Hongjing said at a media conference that the more economically developed the region, the greater demand for high-end industries. That's why Jiashan county has met with obvious economic benefits.
At present, CFLD has laid out more than 80 new industry cities around China and six other countries, including Indonesia and the Philippines.
