KLM is widely recognised as a pioneer in the aviation industry and in its centennial year is not only looking back in celebration but looking forward with confidence to the future. KLM recently launched 'Fly Responsibly', an initiative to invite others to join forces in the development of sustainable solutions for the aviation industry. KLM is inviting others to use its CO2ZERO-programme for carbon compensation free of charge and free of brand, and partner in KLM's BIO-fuel programme.

Bas Hogendorf, Country Manager Air France KLM Philippines said: "KLM's 100th anniversary provides a unique opportunity to share what we stand for. We bring people together and care for our passengers. KLM's anniversary provides a moment to look ahead to the next century, because we want to set the standard for tomorrow's aviation. We want to keep connecting the world, but with attention to our surroundings."

On KLM's birthday, and keeping with tradition, KLM presented its new Delftware miniature house, KLM house number 100. Since the 1950's KLM has presented specially designed Delftware miniature houses to World Business Class passengers. The houses are replicas of monumental buildings throughout the Netherlands. This year's miniature is a replica of Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague.
