SINGAPORE - If you have been thinking about investing in property across the causeway but don't know where to start, help is now at hand in the form of a new book titled 'Get it Right Iskandar'.
The book written by two property experts, Mr Getty Goh and Mr Khalil Adis and launched by Ascendant Assets is Singapore's first book on property investing in Iskandar Malaysia.
Written for those who have no clue on how to buy and sell in Johor, the book highlights common mistakes that property investors should avoid when buying property across the causeway
According to data from Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), Singapore is currently the top investor in this special economic zone after Spain.
More than 90 per cent of property owners in Iskandar Malaysia, particularly Nusajaya, are believed to be Singaporeans.
Each chapter contains stories taken from real life accounts of property buyers in Iskandar Malaysia, and ends with tips on mistakes to avoid. Property jargons are also explained in the glossary section of the book.
"After numerous rounds of cooling measures, many Singaporeans are now looking for alternative investment destinations. With developments in Iskandar Malaysia taking shape, many investors are hoping to make good profits by investing in the region.," Mr Goh said.
"Apart from investors, we have noticed quite a number of elderly Singaporeans are looking to buy something in Iskandar Malaysia for their retirement," he added.
The book is available online at www.getitright-iskandar.com for $21.
It will also become available at all good book stores in Singapore in a few weeks time.
