OCBC Bank is offering more than 7,000 of its staff a three-month career break as a way to improve their work-life balance.

Employees, who must have at least five years of service to be eligible, can take up to three consecutive months of unpaid leave, for any reason. They will be allowed two such breaks during their time of employment.

They will continue to be covered by OCBC's insurance plans for medical treatment and hospitalisation expenses while on their breaks.

OCBC employees with children will also be allowed to carry up to 15 days of their annual leave forward to help their children prepare for the Primary School Leaving Examination.
